Nov 23, 2017· Dangote Cement Plc is set to commission a US $500m cement plant in Congo described as the largest in the country. The new plant will have a capacity of 1.5 million metric tonnes per annum. This new plant will bring to a total of 10 plants that Dangote has commissioned across Africa; this is according to a statement that was released by the company to media outlets.
Dangote Cement owns 64% of the project, with Sephaku Holdings owning the remaining shares. Sephaku Cement operates at two sites not far from Johannesburg. Aganang, a 1.8 million tonne integrated plant located near Lichtenburg in the North-West province of South Africa, is the primary operation of Sephaku Cement.
